Here was last Friday's project, which I discovered on Pinterest a few weeks ago:
Mmmmm....acorns made out of Hershey's Kisses and miniature Nutter Butters! Our crop barely lasted twenty-four hours. And it required no cooking other than making some chocolate "glue" in the microwave.
P.S. The glue was about half a bag of melted mini-chocolate chips.
The first thing we had to do was unwrap a bag of Hershey's Kisses.
By the way, no Hershey's Kisses were harmed (eaten) during the unwrapping portion of our project. I can't tell you what happened after we hadn't finished, though, as the details are too gruesome to share here.
Next we had to "glue" the Kisses to the Nutter Butter Bites. The directions said to dip the Kisses into the melted chocolate and then stick them onto the Nutter Butter Bites. I soon discovered it was much easier to use a toothpick to spread the "glue" onto the cookies and then have the kids put the Hershey's Kisses on top.
The final step, other than eating our acorns, was to attach a miniature chocolate chip to the other side of the Nutter Butter bite. That was a bit too much for little fingers, so I took care of that part.
I have an idea for a post for tomorrow, but in case I don't get around to it, I want to wish everybody a very Happy Thanksgiving!!

Shannon, I love your posts, AND the pictures of the children!
